We just got back from Savannah, Georgia and I cannot fit all the photos in just an album with little captions. There are stories to be told and suggestions I have to make. :-) This will get broken down into subcategories: history, food, tours, kid stuff, dance, and Reese's viewpoint.
From the beautiful architecture to the wonderful history and amazing food we all loved the city. I could take every tour they have and still want more. I don't feel like I could retain all of it though which makes all the photos nice because they trigger different stories. If you like history and good food this is the place to be.
When we first arrived we drove over the Talmadge bridge and went down Bay Street. There was a lot of oohing and ahing. Then we went to Old Fort Jackson, which was interactive and the guys stayed in character. We all really enjoyed it, well everything except the bugs(take spray).
Day two was a trip to their Children's' museum which is in with the railroad museum. It is built in old railway buildings and is all outdoors. Later that day since we were staying on Tybee Island we went to the beach which was not my favorite beach ever.
The next day we split up and the boys went to the railroad museum while the girls went to the Juliette Gordon Low house and my Uncle Darrell's crew went on a dolphin tour(which they declared a joke). The girls tour seemed to be the best of those activities.
We also went to Fort Pulaski, took a ghost tour, a carriage tour, two walking tours from books we got, walked river street, went out to Bonaventure Cemetery, went to the Jepson Center, climbed the Tybee Island Lighthouse, and Reese competed in a National Dance Competition. Again which is why there has to be subcategories.
